Key Learning Objectives

  • Become familiar with how tick-borne disease burdens are changing in the UK - key drivers, risk factors and impacts.
  • Understand the One Health approach and how ecology, social science, modelling and epidemiology are being combined to understand impacts of livestock tick-borne diseases and develop new solutions (within the OPTICK project).
  • Understand the role of farmer, vet and land manager perceptions and priorities in tick-borne disease management, highlight opportunities to engage with the OPTICK and TICKSOLVE projects.
