Suzanna has worked as a Veterinary Investigation Officer for APHA for 20 years, completing diagnostic post mortems, investigating potential new and emerging diseases and monitoring endemic diseases of livestock and wildlife. Suzanna gained a “Tropical diseases of Cattle and Wildlife” Master’s degree through Pretoria University, completing modules particularly focused on vector borne diseases and a project on the UK dairy farm distribution of Culicoides midges. More recently Suzanna has worked in a Vector borne disease liaison role within APHA, looking to identify ways of developing and improving Vector borne disease surveillance and research within APHA.
