Lorna Brown
1966 graduated BVSc Liverpool. Joined Ibadan University, Nigeria, teaching Veterinary Anatomy and researching into Trypanosomiasis pathology for MSc(Vet).
1973– 80 First veterinarian in Kiribati, Central Pacific, conducting animal disease surveys and developing control measures.
1983 - 2022 Principal of mixed veterinary practice, Montgomeryshire. Established sheep artificial breeding centre , later amalgamating with WIRS,Aberystwyth
2022 onwards, continuing sheep breeding work and ultrasound pregnancy scanning.
1989 until now, co-founder of charity Dolen Ffermio (Farming Link) aiming to raise awareness locally of world food and farming issues and supporting community link projects in Uganda, involving livestock improvement, permaculture, education in schools and development of a Vocational Training Institute.
