Emma qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2005 from Myerscough College, Preston and gained the Diploma of Higher Education Clinical Veterinary Nursing in June 2009 followed by the RCVS Diploma in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Small Animal) in January 2010. In 2011, she graduated with a BSc (Hons) Clinical Veterinary Nursing top up degree. Emma was awarded the NCert in Surgical Nursing in April 2023. Emma has worked in mixed practice, small animal, and emergency out of hours across the Mid Wales/Shropshire borders. She now works at the College of Animal Welfare as a BScVN tutor and is the module lead for theatre practice. Emma volunteers for the BSAVA CYMRU/Wales region and is the editor of the 2nd edition Pocketbook for Veterinary Nurses. Her interests are varied but she has a passion for infection control and surgical nursing particularly orthopaedics.
