Amanda Gibson

Dr Amanda Gibson is a Lecturer in Immunology at Aberystwyth University and leads the Innate Immunology Team at the Centre of Excellence for Bovine Tuberculosis. She holds a PhD in Molecular Immunology from the Royal Veterinary College and a BSc (hons) in Immunology from the University of Glasgow. She has 15 years’ postdoctoral experience in large animal immunology research ranging from innate immune responses to BVDV, Pattern recognition in E. coli mastitis and more recently early innate immune responses to bovine tuberculosis. Dr Gibson teaches “principles of science” on the joint BVSc course at the Aberystwyth School of Veterinary Sciences.
